Take a Hike! Letchworth State Park, renowned as the “Grand Canyon of the East.” The Genesee River flows through the gorge over three waterfalls, one almost 600 ft High! Get your Hiking Boot ready, with over 66 miles of trails, you could spend an entire weekend hiking.

Hours: Open daily 6am to 11pm

    The waterfall you refer to as being almost 600′ is not one of three major falls that the Genesee flows over. It is a tributary falls that is only flowing after heavy rain or in the spring.
