How the 'Search Day' Works
MyRochester Movie Listings lists showtimes one day at a time. This helps eliminate the chance that a user might read a showtime without noticing what day it is on, then go to a show on the wrong day.
MyRochester's server uses temporary "cookies" to remember which day you are searching on, so your browser should be set to accept cookies. (Your browser's help menu should show you how to change your cookie settings. By default, most browsers accept cookies unless you change the settings.) The cookie is a small file or line of text that resides on your hard drive while your browser is open. When you close your browser, the cookie is deleted, so your search day will reset next time you visit MyRochester.
How does that help? If you search for a film on Monday, October 13, 2008, then go back to perform a new search, MyRochester remembers the day you were searching, and automatically selects that day in the dropdown box so you don't have to select it again. Hopefully we'll save you a few clicks so you can find what you're looking for more quickly.

Now click on [New Search] and notice that the select boxes already have your search day selected for you.
Search for Rochester area movies in one of three ways. You may search by Theater, by Movie, or by Movie Rating.
Search by Theater
If you already know what theatre you want to see a movie at, select the theatre from the theatre list on the side of the page. You will be presented with a complete listing of movies and times at your theatre of preference. If you previously searched for a film or theatre, and you changed the date, the results for the theatre list will display showtimes for that date, otherwise it will default to today's date. To see showtimes for a different day, click on the <Prev Day< or >Next Day> links next to the date.
Search by Film
To search for a particular film that you wish to see, select the film name from the box containing the current films. You may also change the search day by selecting it from the list. Click on the [Go] button and you will be presented with showtimes that match your search criteria. Click on your movie of choice to see all the theatres where the film is playing. To see showtimes for a different day, click on the <Prev Day< or >Next Day> links next to the date.
Search by Rating
To list all movies of a particular rating, use the search by rating feature. Simply select which rating you desire, select the day you want to search, and click [Go] to list all films that meet your criteria.

We do our best to keep the MyRochester.com Movie Listings up to date, but we can't always get every update from every theatre, so if you're going out on a big date or it's a long drive to the theatre, you might want to call the theatre to double check the showtimes. The phone numbers for the theatres are listed at the top of the page if you search by theatre, or on the right side of the results table when you search by film.
